Our 2020 Virtual Micro-concert Series

Concert #7

There couldn’t be a better choice than our seventh and final final microconcert than  festival’s founding artistic director Stéphane Lemelin playing some of his favourite music – the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 31, Op. 110 in A-flat Major.

We hope you will enjoy this last offering of our 2020 season, and thank you for bearing with us through these strange times. We wish you a good rest of 2020, and may 2021 once again find us all in the pews in St. Mary Magdalene, enjoying real non-virtual music.

Previous concert

For our sixth concert (one more to go after this) we bring you Jacques Hétu’s String Quartet No. 2. This is the second movement designated Vivace, and it is played here with great verve by our own artistic directors, the New Orford String Quartet. Jacques Hétu was the composer-in-residence for our inaugural festival in 2004.
