The Gryphon Trio in Concert

The Festival opens with one of Canada’s most celebrated ensembles, the Gryphon Trio, in a program of passion, brilliance,and lyric beauty. Beethoven’s youthful Piano Trio in E-flat major sparkles with wit and elegance, while Dvořák’s sweeping F minor Trio brings deep emotion and Bohemian fire. A special highlight is Ice Candles by Composer-in-Residence Carmen Braden, adding a contemporary northern voice to the evening. Join us for a thrilling opening night of masterful chamber music.
