We had a great 2025 festival.

We welcomed our new Artistic Director (but old friend of the Festival) Paul Marleyn.

With his fresh perspective Paul programmed a memorable series of concerts – see for yourself:

BRASS IN THE PARK

We always start with a free outdoor concert. This year we brought in The True North Brass.

THE KITCHEN REVUE

Quirky chamber ensemble masterpiece La Revue de Cuisine by Bohuslav Martinu (and narrated by CBC’s Tom Allen) was the highlight of this concert.

THE DINUK WIJERATNE WORLD MUSIC FUSION TRIO

Piano-based improvisational-based music with Dinuk Wijeratne and two of his long term collaborators Nick Halley and Tom Easley.

YOGA+CELLO

Gentle yoga class accompanied by Bach’s Six Suites for Cello Solo.

TECHNIQUES OF CREATIVITY

Workshop on practical techniques for clarifying vision, building effective habits, and breaking through creative barriers.

POPULAR TUNES FROM VIENNA TO THE NEW WORLD

Music inspired by folk melodies from Ireland, Germany and the US. With “Canada’s premier clarinetist” (Ottawa Citizen} James Campbell, The Swiss Piano Trio, and award-winning teenage violinist Justin Saulnier.

ARION BAROQUE ENSEMBLE

Eighteenth century program with artists form one of Canada’s most celebrated Baroque ensembles.

FOUR PLAY CELLO!

Our Artistic Director Paul Marleyn is a cellist, he invited three of his colleagues, and they had fun – from Vivaldi to Beatles to Metallica.

INSPIRED BY LOVE

It all started with Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata. The sonata inspired Leo Tolstoy’s short story, which in turn inspired a quartet by Janacek. Brahms was inspired by his secret love to compose a sextet, and Dinuk Wijeratne’s title “I will not let you go” is self explanatory. Hence the title of our final concert INSPIRED BY LOVE.
